![]() Crocodile $6.00 Surprisingly, crocodiles and alligators in the wild are considered to be excellent mothers. They are un usual among reptiles in caring for their young after birth. When the young are ready to emerge from their eggs, they squeak to the mother and she helps them out. Then she places them in a special pouch she has in her throat to assist them in finding their way to the water. Crocodiles shed their skin as they grow, symbolic of transformation, resurrection and rebirth. Additionally the crodile inhabits both the water and the land, bridging the conscious and unconscious. This figure has it’s mouth wide open showing it’s teeth. It’s an excellent figure to depict aggression or fear of aggression. Plastic, 4" long.

![]() Meerkat $2.25 Meerkats are highly intelligent social creatures. They instinctively know how to use teamwork to survive living on the ground and in burrows. They tend to have “jobs” that they prefer but will rotate jobs for the good of the colony (which usually comprises about 40 individuals). Some of their “jobs” include hunting, baby sitting, sentry work, and teaching. Yes, teaching! Adults will teach the young how to hunt, for instance. While a group of adults are actually out hunting (they eat insects, small rodents, reptiles, etc.) the young are taken care of by other adults in the colony. At the colony, there are always members who act as sentries, standing guard and alert to any predators. They stand on their short hind legs with their long torso stretched long and high and their heads acting like periscopes. When danger is near, they will bark an alarm for the entire colony to dash into their deep burrows. Plastic, 2.5” tall. |
